School Direct

Shiremoor Teaching School Alliance is currently recruiting trainees for 2018-19. Having been part of this innovative ITT programme for the past six years, we are recruiting again in for trainees for unsalaried placements across three authorities in the region. This year our alliance has grown significantly and we will be offering more places across a range of high performing schools. The alliance schools offer a vast array of expertise and as a result, we will be offering an exciting and multi-faceted school-based training programme. Download our School Direct 2018-19 brochure.

We work alongside Northumbria University to provide this year-long course which allows trainees to gain QTS and PGCE.

Successful applicants will spend a year working in one of the alliance schools alongside an experienced mentor. A placement in a second school is arranged ensuring all trainees have experience in two different settings and an alternative Key Stage.
