ASPIRATION. RESPECT. CHALLENGE.
Shiremoor Primary School is a happy school where staff are committed to ensuring that children have a wealth of opportunities to provide them with the best possible start to their education.
We understand how important it is for us to have a strong working relationship with parents and we listen closely to their views regularly. Therefore communication is crucial and we do this in a variety of ways so that parents are well-informed about all aspects of schooling.
Everyone who works here recognises that children are individuals and have very different needs.
As staff, we have a good knowledge of how best to support children to ensure that they can access learning. We talk often to children about how we celebrate difference.
Our dedicated staff team work hard to provide opportunities for children both inside and outside of school time. Every member of teaching staff offers an extra-curricular club free of charge.
Lessons and topics are planned to enthuse and engage children. All staff who work in Shiremoor Primary School have gone through a rigorous selection and induction process to ensure that they are the best people for the job and that they understand our whole school ethos.
The Senior Management Team work closely together to ensure that they constantly evaluate with a view to addressing any issues swiftly and effectively whilst looking to the future and finding innovative ways forward.
If parents or members of the public have any general questions regarding our school, they are very welcome to contact us and speak to Mrs Kerton, Business Manager. We would also be happy to arrange a visit to the school so that we can show you our school in action and answer any further questions about our work. If you require any of the information found on our website, paper copies are available free of charge by request at the office.
